The NAACP Broome/Tioga County chapter will host a Juneteenth dinner celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. June 18 at 5 Riverside Drive in Binghamton.
Guest speaker Dr. Sherrill Wilson will speak about the meaning of the holiday, her work and other contributions to the African-American historical community.
The dinner will be catered by Cline’s Catering. Tickets are $30 and available through various committee members. For tickets, contact President Billie Anderson at (607) 724-7748.
